THE JOURNEY OF THE COWBOY AND THE NURSING SCHOOL A STORY TO REMEMBER

*THE JOURNEY OF THE COWBOY AND THE NURSING SCHOOL* *A STORY TO REMEMBER*:

"It is always seems impossible until it is possible"
*Nelson Mandela*.

I was born in the Northern part of the country, Savannah Region (Ghana) , at Kalba- CHECHIREYIRI .Where most parents had no interest in education at the time I was a child. I was just five years older when my dad  passed on eternity.  May his soul rest in peace . But before his demised,he was a peasant farmer and Large cattle owner.  A life long Profession he inherited from his Dad too.  To him, education was a story to him. So ,as early as four years I have started my  ILLUSTROUS career as a Shepperd and later graduated to become a cowboy. This means that I was later to become a farmer,my father's Profession. This means a lot to my destiny.
Though I do not subcribe to  the primitive ideology that farming is not a good Profession.

But , destiny they say can only be delayed but not change, is very appropriate in this piece. But as custom demands, after the death of father,I have to leave the family house and stay with my parternal uncle,a tradition which I have no choice .

At my new home ,it means new beginning. And indeed it was a revolutionary break through in my life. Because children born with this feature has an exceptional feature. My uncle Saw the need for formal education in school rather than a professional teacher of cattle.

The date was 15th September,2004 . On that fateful day ,my uncle Called me and show me the path of educational journey. A journey and path which was only  a dream to Mr late Dad. He said "when you go   to school, study hard and bring in  communities".

My uncle had never been to school but he is a litigan .His words are source of my my inspiration and motivation. Right in school,I was the oldest and tallest pupil in the class which made most of my teachers afraid of me.

At the Kalba Local Authority Primary School , I meant everything my uncle told. My Sterling academic performance is a testimony to my success story ,which most of  my class mates are testimony to that. I have never relent on his words in my quest for academic freedom.  After our Junior High School education final examination (BECE) I have graduated with the best aggregate as well as the best Student in the school.

Also,at the high school I completed successfully but couldn't go to Medical school which I dream for. In my effort to go to my dream school has become futile.  My effort to become Health Professional Saw me in the Nursing School.

Upon successful graduation I have every reason to let my readers know the journey very well.

Today,I wish my late Dad was alive to witness a dream he only believed it was a mirage. Mr. Kuumulo Tampuor Kakariba , your five years old cowboy is now a graduate Nurse. On that fatefully day  as I sat in the graduation ceremony I began to have mixed feelings. There was tears of  Joy .But I have this to say "Ebenezer, how far the Lord has brought me"

APPRECIATION AND GRADUATE

To my Mom and uncle, you are my Generational pillar.
To  my basic School teachers,am much humble.
To the high school and college, teachers and Lectures, you showed me the path to academic freedom.
School friends and Mentors , you are source of my inspiration and motivation.
To GNMTA,I had my mentorship and Leadership training.

And an exceptional gratitude goes to Mr Ankaara Sankara my brother in law, you stood with me tick are thall. I can't put your own here . You mean everything to me . In one word, I say  thank you for your kind words and support.
