Kwarteng-Agyemang Vasty Wins PRO OF YEAR NSA 2020


On Saturday 31st October the biggest student's awards dubbed NATIONAL STUDENT AWARDS held their event at the Kwame Nkrumah University Of Science And Technology(KNUST)CCB Auditorium under the theme "28 Years Of Ghana's Democratic Experience,What  Test Does December 7 present?"


Miss Kwarteng-Agyemang Vasty, Former student of SDA Nursing and Midwifery Training College,Kwadaso. The Press and Information Secretary for the Ashanti-Bono Ahafo Zone of the Ghana Nurse-Midwife Trainees Association(GNMTA/ASHBA) was pronounced the PRO OF THE YEAR 2020.


This distinguished award was presented to the ASHBA Press and Information Secretary who doubles as the Greater Accra Chairperson of the Rotation Nurses and Midwives Association(RNMA) by the youngest DCE, Hon Clement Opoku Gyamfi(A.K.A. CID) Amansie South District.





 After winning the award, she took to her facebook wall to thank all those who supported in a way or the other. 

She wrote;

Good Afternoon..Trust you all doing well..With much love and happiness I wish to thank you all for the support,the love and encouragement...God bless you all for voting and making us victorious..Yeah we won the award...We were nominated for two categories but we brought home one of the awards...I say We because this award is Ours and not just mine.

1. STUDENTS PERSONALITY OF THE YEAR

2.PRO OF THE YEAR


After the program she granted an interview of which she advised and advocated for peace in the come 2020 elections.


She also dedicated the award to her family,interns and trainees Nurses and Midwives in Ghana.

NMC SIGNED MoU WITH G- DNA

GHANAIAN-DIASPORA NURSING ALLIANCE (G-DNA) SIGNS MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING (MoU) WITH THE NURSING AND MIDWIFERY COUNCIL Ghanaian-Diaspora Nursing Alliance (G-DNA) and the Nursing and Midwifery Council signed a memorandum of understanding on Tuesday, January 9, 2024. The MOU will enable G-DNA to facilitate and support G-DNA members in the diaspora to contribute to advancing Nursing and Midwifery practice in Ghana. The intended purpose of the collaboration is to enhance and advance Nursing practice and to improve healthcare delivery outcomes in Ghana.  Prof. Yvonne Commodore-Mensah, President of the G-DNA and an Associate Professor at the Johns Hopkins Schools of Nursing and Public Health in Baltimore, in her address to the press, indicated that the G-DNA will mobilize Ghanaian Nurses trained abroad as well as those trained in Ghana and leaving abroad to give back to their mother country.
