CHALLENGES OF THE 21ST CENTURY

 *THE 21ST CENTURY CHALLENGES*

*******************************

In a world deluged by irrelevant information,I suggest that clarity is Power.

In theory, anybody can join the debate about the future of humanity, but it is so hard to maintain a clear vision.

Frequently,we don't even notice that a debate is ongoing on ,or what the key questions and challenges are .

Billions of us can hardly affort the luxury of investigating, because we have more pressing things to do .

We have to go to work, take care of our children and look after the elderly parents.

Unfortunately, history gives no discounts. If the future of humanity is decided in your absence, because you are too busy feeding and clothing your kids , you and they will not be exempt from the consequences. This is very unfair, but who said history is fair?.

A global world puts unprecedented pressure on our personal conduct and morality. We are all caught in the global web pandemic- The renew debate on the LGBTQI+ ,AI, Attacked on democracy, climate change and global warming, fake news, propaganda, lies and corruption. How can these issues be resolved without global war ?.

We have seen that some personal gestures can unexpected set entire world ablaze,as happened with the self- immolation of Mohamed Bouazizi in Tunisia, which ignited the Arab Spring, and with the women who shared their sexual harassments and sparked the #MeTooMovement.

The global dimension of our personal lives means that it is more important than ever to uncover our religious and Political biases, our racial and gender privileges, and our unwitting compliticity in institution oppression.

But is this a realistic enterprise?.

I then begin to querry and interrogate the possibilities of getting a a firm ethical ground in a world that extends far beyond my horizons, that spins completely out of human control, and that holds all gods and ideologies suspects.

To end this contention, the merger of infotech and biotech might soon push billion of humans out of the job market and undermine both liberty and equality. To get answers to these questions, let's all begin our Research about the future that the Big  Data will provide.

THE SEARCH FOR NEVER ENDING HAPPINESSES

THE SEARCH FOR NEVER ENDING HAPPINESS.  There is no sky-God in heaven who is going to protect you from the volatility of the lived human experience, but there is a deep-seated serenity, tranquility, and equanimity that you can access at the center of yourself and all things. There is no knight in shining armor or bewitching goddess who is going to swoop in and carry you away into a fairy tale happy ending, but there is the personal work you can do with and in yourself that will enable you to cultivate healthy, fulfilling and satisfying relationships.  There is no special enlightened leader or teacher or sacred book that can finally show you the highest truth that sets you free, but you are capable of utilizing your own critical thinking, direct experience, and personal investigation to discover and embrace ultimate reality.  There is no self-help guru or program that will magically solve your chronic unhappiness, disharmony, and self-sabotaging mindsets and choices,...

THE NEXT GENERATION OF LEADERS. THE AFRICAN CASE .

THE NEXT GENERATION OF LEADERS : THE AFRICAN CASE  Brookings Institute reports that 70 percent of Sub-Saharan Africa’s population is under 30, representing about 743 million of 1,061 billion people in this region. These statistics represent a robust workforce, also known as the “cheetah generation”, a new and angry generation of young African graduates and professionals who can take up leadership roles from communities to the national level, and look at African issues and problems from a different perspective. We, the next generation of African leaders, should exhibit three characteristics. Firstly, we must be able to lead ourselves. Leadership is a way of being, not a position or job title. To become great leaders, we must develop a sense of who we are, what we can do, and where we are going. Coupled with this, we must embrace failure, build resilience, develop emotional mastery, and be lifelong learners.  Secondly, we must understand how to lead others. To be able to e...
