THE ABUSE AND NEGLECT OF POLITICAL POWER BY STK MP

 *The Neglect and Abuse of Political Power by the Hon. MP for Sawla-Tuna-Kalba Constituency.*

Ladies and gentlemen of our beloved Constituency of the Sawla-Tuna-Kalba. I bring you all warm greetings and hope this message finds you well.

I am deeply concerned about the actions of the Honorable Member of Parliament (MP),  *Hon. Andrews Chiwiitey* who is seriously exploiting the resources of our constituency to develop his hometown, *Nakoiyiri* in the Bole-Bamboi constituency.

This is a clear case of misuse of power and resources meant for the development of our dear STK. Nakoiyiri is a village with less than a thousand (1000) inhabitants who used to trek to the neighboring community to have access to proper health care and education having been elected as a member of Parliament for the Sawla-Tuna-Kalba Constituency, this community has been developed with well furnished educational facilities, health center, and electricity to the detriment of the people who voted for him in the Sawla-Tuna-Kalba Constituency.

Furthermore, it is unacceptable that the MP has surrounded himself with only members of his tribe, creating a clique that excludes others, especially my brothers, who are busy making noise for him on their social media handles, yet no recognition is given to them.

The question I kept asking myself is that is it that the other tribes in the NDC in the Sawla-Tuna-Kalba Constituency are not fit to handle these portfolio except the Brifor tribes. I am yet to receive an answer from my NDC friends.

Below are some of the recent appointments made by the MP;

1. Research Assistant- Thomas Maal-eng

2. Spoke Person - Anbon

3. Personal Assistant - Razak

4. Security guard

*NB: All Brifors*

And this kind of tribalism and nepotism has no place in our modern democracy.

In my opinion as a representative of the people, an MP should serve the interests of all constituents equally, regardless of their tribe or background. It is their duty to ensure that resources are used efficiently and effectively to benefit the entire constituency, not just developing their hometown or tribal group. Hence, the attitude of the MP needs to be condemned, and the other sympathizers/followers of the NDC have to reason and call him to order.

I, *Kipo Ansumah* call on the MP to immediately stop this abuse of political power and ensure that our constituency's resources are used for the betterment of all constituents, not just a selected few of a particular tribal group.

For a better representation in the 9th Parliament and effective and efficient use of resources allocated for the Sawla-Tuna-Kalba Constituency, let's get *Hon. Ankaara Sankara* elected as our next Member of Parliament for our Constituency.

More will be updated soon.....

THE NEXT GENERATION OF LEADERS. THE AFRICAN CASE .

 THE NEXT GENERATION OF LEADERS : THE AFRICAN CASE  Brookings Institute reports that 70 percent of Sub-Saharan Africa’s population is under 30, representing about 743 million of 1,061 billion people in this region. These statistics represent a robust workforce, also known as the “cheetah generation”, a new and angry generation of young African graduates and professionals who can take up leadership roles from communities to the national level, and look at African issues and problems from a different perspective. We, the next generation of African leaders, should exhibit three characteristics. Firstly, we must be able to lead ourselves. Leadership is a way of being, not a position or job title. To become great leaders, we must develop a sense of who we are, what we can do, and where we are going. Coupled with this, we must embrace failure, build resilience, develop emotional mastery, and be lifelong learners.  Secondly, we must understand how to lead others. To be able to engage, motivat
